The Neolithic Necropolis, is one of the most important in France; 45 burials where found and one was recreated in the museum. People can learn how their own predecessors were living and learn about their funeral rituals.
Among the surprising discoveries, you can note the oldest ceramics known in Alsace, also the skull of a man who survived a double trepanation over 7000 years old.
MUSEUM "LA REGENCE"
Between XIII th and XVII th century, Ensisheim, becomes Capital of Austrian
possessions on the Rhine.
Its power and prestige are symbolized by the Palace of the Regency which
currently house many treasures, but one of them doesn't have anything to do with a man's genies. It's the great meteorite that fell close to the city in 1492. This famous stone is the eldest observed, collected and conserved in the
western world.

XX th century.
The three pits, excavated in 1912, enabled the hard exploitation of potash in a depth of 1000 meters and in a temperature of 50°C.
The fine and fascinating collections that were created from the miner's lamp, helps to include and understand the technological developments of exploitation and illustrates the courageous life of the men who reflect them in work.
